He already lives in fear. But he is really good at making people afraid of him and surrounds himself with sacrificial sycophants. As far as unease goes, I doubt he believes he has a wrong.

I understand Putin's personality. Dictators are generally suspicious, paranoid, and afraid of death. No matter what Putin does or how much money he has, he will always live with anxiety, fear, and unease.

I actually like that for him. To me that's a sign of insecurity and cowardice. Traits Trump has as well.
