Jews donโt need more plaques, parks, or ceremonies. We need protection. Whatโs the point of honoring Holocaust survivors if their grandchildren are facing the same hate all over again? Our lives matter today. Not just our memory tomorrow.

ooh look; opposing genocide gets you votes! yay democracy you Israelis should try it some time
Muslim lives matter. Even Nazis fed their Jews, a little, while killing them. Israelis don't even feed their Muslims while killing them.
Killing them slowly. Lessons from the Third Reich to the fourth.
Stoppelsteins commemmorating jewish atrocities on Palestinians. How will you rats be able to step without walking over a reminder of your naziness?
Zionist rats need whacking. A nuke.
Jews aren't going to get more protection in America. Jews need to be their own protection.
Is this guy making holocaust comparisons? ๐ซจ
In terms of the writing being on the wall, yes he is. But then heโs got every right. You, otoh, arenโt really in a position to police our generational trauma - not that anything will stop you.
I'm not saying that you're wrong to feel less safe than some years ago. I can barely imagine what you must be feeling and experiencing. But I'm of the opinion that said generational trauma is being misappropriated to justify some pretty abhorrent actions.
Your opinion is not without validity and shared by many of us. The problem is that the conflation youโre seeing isnโt coming from us and is most definitely not helpful or appreciated.
Please don't make the wrong connections because of the flag in my name. I'm not in favor of Hamas. Quite the opposite. I detest their actions on Oct 7th. I'm not in any way supportive of killing Jews because of their identity! I'm advocating on behalf of the people of Palestine. ๐
We are also advocating for the people of Palestine, but no one wants to know about it.
You're right. It's not coming from you or your Jewish peers. But I think people like Netanyahu have no problem of summoning the spectre of a new Holocaust to get the Jewish diaspora(s) to support him and his actions. Not saying you do.
Well, hereโs the thing, (w. the exception of politically motivated groups and extremely small pockets of fundamentalist Jews) Netanyahu has no more sway over diaspora Jews than we have over him - which is to say; none at all.
But some of these groups have disproportional influence nonetheless. Accusations by Canary Mission for example can make people lose their job or even risk deportation. Also there are a lot of non-Jews who are taking these groups' accusations to justify limiting speech.
And then there are statesmen whom Netanyahu is able to sway into certain policies. Not to mention that his own policies build on the foundation laid by previous Israeli PMs.
I'm not convinced about that one. I think it inverts cause and consequence. Israel is indispensable to the ideology supported by our elites, hence the support for Netanyahu. Our hard right and far right are so happy to have the Jews to justify their hatred of Arabs.
Also it's not just the right that loves this dynamic, be it for differing reasons than Center Democrats for example.
You are absolutely right. Good point. But still, if a state like America or Germany were to consider sanctions or other measures, Netanyahu and his people would scream and shit their pants and cry "antisemitism" for example. 9 ยฝ times out of 10 US/Ger will refrain from implementing in no time.
(Take this next one in jest haha) Jews could attain Israeli citizenship and vote that piece of shit out. So there is some sway you have. ๐
To be honest, Iโm not taking much from your last few posts because you did an inversion and followed it up with a distasteful joke that is apparently supposed to be acceptable because you labeled it as humor ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
How the fuck am I policing generational trauma, ma'am? Am I downplaying the Shoa in any way?
What is this, if not policing generational trauma? bsky.app/profile/stei...
Also I'm able to remember what I've written some hours ago. Showing my own post to me is hardly an explanation of your accusation.
I don't know, you tell me. I think this kind of talk is minimizing the Holocaust to a certain extent. Not because I think it couldn't happen again, but because I think the dynamics today are fundamentally detrimental to the organized murder of millions of Jews.
*by "this talk" I mean Hen's
It seems to me that you are policing my intent. But what did I expect from a Hen Mazzig reply thread.
He is not. And are you an antisemite???
He kinda is. The hatred manifesting in violence that jews experienced during the Holocaust is not comparable to the surge in antisemitism today. Or are you suggesting that Jews are being lynched on the streets and put into Ghettos right now? What makes you think I could be an antisemite?
The state of the world, and increasing antisemitism. Is playing out exactly the same as the way it did in the years leading up to the Holocaust. The characters may be different, the places may be different, but the essential playbook is a reiteration of the pre-Holocaust years.
Now tell me: what makes you an antisemite in your view?
That is not true. I think this kind of talk is minimizing the holocaust to be honest. I'm not negating the rise in antisemitism today. Neither am I trying to delegitimize the fear Jews are feeling. But the reasons for antisemitism are totally different compared to Nazi Germany.
Maybe you can spell out these different reasons for the rest of us. Without clarity in this, well, you're just a parrot spouting crap.
A lot of todays antisemitism comes from a conflation of Jewish diaspora and Israel/Israeli government actions. In Nazi Germany, Jews were made responsible for the repression of Germans/Aryans and as a result of that, the former were presented as inferior compared to the latter. But you knew that.
I stopped reading as soon as you blamed the victim.
And when was that exactly? You will never have a normal conversation like that or see other's perspectives. I'm not saying people have any reason to conflate the two. But it happens nonetheless. You are dug in too deep to see any light. Bye.
I pour out a litre of milk when the first sniff is rancid, too.
