The 67 borders were changed. Israel was attacked & defeated the attacking force. Jews regained access to the old city of Jerusalem and the Kotel - the holiest site in Judaism. Since then allowed access to all religions to the old city - Dome of the Rock, Al Aqsa Mosque, Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

If you read the history, Israel made a preemptive strike as it was surrounded and about to be attacked. So, it was either be decimated or engage in an act of defense. History does not judge that the preemptive attack was without cause. Egypt had closed the Straits of Tiran & Suez Canal was involved.
