Sorry. I read your question wrong. Each language has its own unique sign language. American Sign Language is completely different from Chinese Sign Language or Japanese Sign Language. Mexican Sign Language has significant differences from Spanish Sign Language.

It is not! Each country has its own unique sign language. There are even regional "accents" in sign language. The ASL of someone from the West Coast will contain unique accents from those in the South and East Coast. This applies to different countries as well.
