I have thought of that, how long could they keep the charade going? Edith Wilson was de facto president for 18 months while Woodrow was incapacitated from a stroke but that was in the 1910s, his administration was more competent and he wasn't dead just severally limited in what he could do himself

Would be practically impossible to pull off a Wilson with the modern tech/media environment. Especially when we're dealing with someone as obsessed with being in the spotlight as Trump. He goes off the grid for any more than 72 hours, that's a MAJOR red flag that something's off.

I think it'll just be a few days while he farts and sputters to his moist denoument. Peter Theil has a giant red button that says "king me!" which immediately triggers all his coronation plans, and he's been standing over it drenched in sweat for weeks now.

The problem comes with whether the GOP will listen to Vance, while they are cowards some are opportunists who doubtless have come to a similar conclusion I have, that if trump dies early enough then they can blame the fallout on Vance.

I kinda think that when Vance-Theil are fully running the show, they'll go for the whole banana. Some for of Reichstag fire, state of emergency, martial law, yadda yadda. They *want* chaos and state collapse to institute the monarchy.

They want it but can they do it is the question up in the air. Vance and theil lack the cult following trump has, the closest in their circle is musk. Still they lack what has made the entire congress and supreme court kneel to trump.

"Can they do it" is going to be an interesting ride. I want to say no, cause of all the morons. But they also realize this is their one chance to knock it all down and immanentize the eschaton, and if democracy wins, they're utterly fucked. Dangerous combo.

Like trump dies and Vance is president when the recession hits and food starts becoming expensive. They can say that Vance is the one that destroyed trump's economy because he was in the white house when the bad shit happened and people are stupid enough to buy it
