I am mediating a claim today for a gentleman who is alleging he was discriminated against because he is white. I have about $3 to offer.

Privilege is discrimination now??!! How so? 👎🤬🤬👿🤮
🤣🤣🤣
I shall Email Clarence Thomas.
Whites are going through privilege withdrawal and I love it. Equality feels like oppression when you're used to privilege.
I thought that was a bare pop tart for a second 😭
(But see Ames v. Ohio Dept of Youth Services) 😐
Admit I could not handle that while restraining myself from laughing.
That seems overly generous.
I have a pastrami hoagie I’d like to offer.
As a 60 year old white male, I have to confess that I discriminate against other white people all the time, because a bunch of us are malignant fuckwits.
I hate the term "non-practicing whites," but I wish that was a thing we could actually do because every time I see my neighbor dragging his kids, tethered to him by multiple jump ropes tied together, behind his riding mower down the street (I think it's for fun I have no idea), I die a little inside
A white blonde female newscaster in Boston has filed suit against her former employer on the same grounds. She was replaced by - wait for it - another white blonde female newscaster. Where is the discrimination (no age discrimination alleged IIRC).
Have you tried offering a pint of Duke's mayonnaise and a bowl of potato salad with raisins?
I'm whiter than a roll of toilet paper and I would starve to death before eating mayonnaise without hot sauce in it or anything with raisins in it. 🤢
How about ... raisinnaise?
Wow
$3 more than i would.
Sounds like you’re being very generous
🤦🏼♀️
I had an actual situation where I wasn't hired because I was white in like 2007. I just moved back from New Orleans to Chicago and went to a Chicago public school on the south side for an interview. The principal asked me if I'd ever worked with Black students, told me the kids wouldn't relate to me
or respect me. Looking back in my 40s, he was probably right. It was a school social worker job. I was 25 and had had one prior social work job (crisis counselor in post-Katrina New Orleans). I was from Lakeview in Chicago. That principal was looking out for the students' best interest.
There *was* a time I almost sued a potential employer, but it was about religion. That was a therapy practice that didn't advertise themselves as religious, but asked all about church and if I was willing to attend evangelical services & then told me I wasn't right for their culture. That was 2013.
offer him covid.
Did he register his complaint with the DEIA office or HR, and/or EEOC? What is the basis of the claim? Can he demonstrate that his KSAs exceed those who have allegedly harmed him? These institutional offices are thorough in their reviews, and prior to the current administration gutting offices...🫠
That's actually generous.
Recuse yourself, bruv. You're biased.
He’s suing my client.
God bless you because I could never be an attorney and take people's catastrophized grievances seriously
Ah, OK. I thought you meant mediating in a formal ADR sense. Ignore.
Zero of fucks to give.
