Oh I mean yeah, I think status can definitely improve a straight man’s desirability, but I also mean stuff like charisma, humor, interesting hobbies etc

partly, I think, there's always a gap between "I want to be desired by EVERYONE" and "I want to be desired by this person in particular" and then the reality of "I am desired by some cool people"
