Workers deserve better than a government that denies their right to fight for fair treatment. The federal government has no business interfering in the labour dispute between Air Canada and workers. This terrible decision by the Liberals undermines negotiations and hurts labour rights.

This is a war on women, not just workers & the NDP has to name it and call it out. From defunding WAGE, to deprioritizing women’s reproductive health to this, we need an opposition to call him out now. He hates women & is driving us out of the workforce.

It was wrong during the Canada Post negotiations and it's wrong now. This is disappointing.

How can it be fairer than to impose Binding Arbitration?? This has been ongoing for 8 months & AC refuse to budge - only the staff will suffer, as they have been doing!

Binding arbitration by ex-Air Canada counsel. Real fair.

If they will do this for a private business, what will they do with public unions seeing that many PSAC CBAs are now expired?

When there is a stalemate- as there has been for months- binding arbitration makes sense. I think unions generally come out ahead. If Conservatives are so incensed by this development and want workers paid fairly, why are they not calling out all the other airlines who undetpay their staff?

If we're ordering workers back because we need them, we should be meeting their demands. This trend will continue until these corporations are incentivized to avoid this outcome. In a fair world, this would be the outcome that the corporation is afraid of. Instead, it's the workers.

Well said Heather thank you. This is where the NDP can grow its base. Organized labour built the middle class in Canada. Young workers need labour support for a livable wage and benefits. Other countries do it successfully. No other party can do this. Make it NDP territory!
