I called on the 🇨🇦 govt to guarantee, no-cost access to COVID-19 vaccines, including for every child under 12. Under the Canada Health Act, every Canadian deserves equal access to care no matter where they live, or how badly their provincial gov’t ignores science, health guidelines & their citizens.

Smith is pocketing the $200 federal increase for disabled persons. Why on earth would the feds trust her, a known anti-vaxxer and proud medical ignoramus, with vaccine funding?
Provinces are responsible for funding vaccines. The feds stepped in because of the emergency of the pandemic to ensure CDNs had supply with so much global competition. It’s not a federal responsibility though. But ABn’s rights not being upheld by Smith.
She is absolutely not trustworthy, and is implementing a very harmful not evidence based policy.
You do realize it’s not the Federal government who is forcing our hand? It’s this anti vaccine Premier who is pushing her agenda. If the Feds step in she will tell them see you in court. Another law suit at our expense. So tired of her and her vaccine stance.
Thank you for raising this issue. We, in Alberta, should be following NACI guidelines, not FDA guidelines, and have the shots paid for as this is a highly communicable disease that everyone needs access to in order to have a healthy society. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Your problem in Alberta is that provinces are responsible for healthcare. The Feds just send the healthcare transfers and the province decides how they are spent. Until you get rid of your current government not much the Feds can do.
