No money in paper copy sadly. I started life in the litho industry and got out as digital was killing trade. My ex ended his career at a newspaper printers before it closed.

It’s so sad what’s happening to the journalism and print trade.
It is, when I started we had a little old chap with a treadle machine printing highly bespoke products from racks of lead typeset. I’m sure he must have felt the same about modern print processes.
I know. This is why I think it needs to be community/cooperative-funded. It would take the big question about "who's gaining from what I'm being told?" out of the equation.
You’re right!
An example of how this works is the RNLI (the British lifeboat organisation). Voluntary crews, funded by donations. Some say that should be state-funded, but the RNLI don't want that. Their argument is that government funding restricts their activities and puts them under the command of a paymaster.
