No, there was no record number of people NOT voting. In fact, the opposite is true. 2024 in politics, by the numbers : NPR

Millions of registered Dems didn’t bother showing up to vote. That’s why we lost.

I think those were the Uncle Joe loyalists who were pissed that horses were changed in midstream, Jewish Dem voters supporting Israel. Palestinian Dems & some Progressives supporting Palestine. Basically the " I give up, what's the point Dem voter. ", Dem mysogynists & anti "foreigners"IMO .

Don't bother with them, they don't actually understand electoral politics or data. There was literally a record turn out in 2024 but, yeah, it was the purity test lmao.

I agree. It matters now that he's in the spotlight? His endorsement at the height of Israel/Palestine war fog? What possible good would it do? Also the other 40 states had no clue who he was. I didn't til he ran for mayor. Not In NY.

Exactly lol. It literally would not have mattered. As NYC mayor and a Muslim, yes that would carry weight. As a random NYC assemblyman, almost 0 difference.
