Thank you Bill for this post. Everybody in the US put on your critical thinking caps. This regime lives disinformation and conspiracy theories.
β¦cautiously and carefully. (Lots of disinformation out there)
Canada is nearly lost to RW disinformation today. To rebalance, π¨π¦'s must fight. In addition to the Postmedia disinformation base, don't forget the gaslighting response that our 'neutral' outlet CBC News gave to π¨π¦'s who voiced their concern about overt Con bias. They do not care. The die is set.
One way to fight back is to make politicians responsible for what they say. Here is a petition to address politicians spreading misinformation. www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en...
When you read a story from one source, to ensure less bias find at least 2-3 other diverse international non AI trusted sources of the same story for well rounded coverage. Staying informed takes work these days!
People need to rediscover shunning. Too many times they go back again & again to a source they know has lied in the past, 'in the interests of open-mindedness'. Why? So the liar can work the bugs out of their scam? This made so much of the current situation possible. You lie; you're dead to me.
And you have just described one of the biggest issues we have in America. People think they are being informed and doing the research but are just getting disinformation and algorithm feeds.
At this stage of persistent and pervasive disinformation and information confusion, everyone who is misinformed believes they are well-informed.
