American thoughts and prayers after mass shootings will last a couple days. Imagine if that spirit of kindness and thoughtfulness looked in the mirror and finally changed their perverse gun culture. Canadians see this as a sickness.

The fact that school shootings persist is a reflection of their society.
It is absolutely a sickness
Ingrained in their minds.
Sane American here. One of the few things that I agreed with Reagan was the ban assault weapons. George W. Bush let it lapse during his presidency.
As Americans, it's our right and sacred honor to sacrifice our children for the cos play fantasy that we're all Rambo Warriors and you better watch out! Sadly, these alpha male Rambo types are comprised mostly of bootlickers.
After Columbine I remember thinking that this will be the catalyst for gun laws to be implemented. 26 years later and hundreds of mass shootings later and the US is still stuck in the same loop of tragedy after tragedy… it’s disgusting
Most Canadians see it as a sickness. But the gun lobby is strong within the CPC. Conservatives want Canadian society to be more like the US, including its vile gun culture (a cult, really) of mass gun ownership and worship. Which of course leads to regular, frequent and deadly mass shootings.
🎯
Some of us feel the same way.
I also suspect that young person was bullied. Hate, accompanied by ‘Christian’ ideology and guns added in and this is what happens.
There are Americans who see this as a sickness too...but sadly, there are also foolish Americans who, thanks to misinterpreting the 2nd amendment, own a cache of weaponry. Add the 💸💰 from the nra and politicians who can be bought....and we have a problem that will be extremely hard to fix
Don’t we all?
What is really behind mass shootings is lax gun laws and the greed of gun manufacturing and retailers..those who vote against restricted gun rights and laws have blood on their hands..children's blood..its not hard!
I want to believe most Americans see it that way as well.
We're NOT evolved. Look at what our culture produced--a nation of people largely socially conditioned by social media armed to the teeth & taught NO emotional control. We've TOLD the WORLD CLEARLY what we care about w/what we fund vs what we DEFUND. We HATE other people more than we love ourselves.😉
