#WritingCommunity #Booksky #Writesky I have in my head a book idea; a Halloween version of Willy Wonka. Where the MC and her grammar school bullies (still horrible people) visit a haunted house that entraps them till sunrise and punishes the bullies in unique ways. Would that sound okay at best?
Sounds interesting to me! I think the big hurdle there would be addressing why she's with them/willingly going to a secondary location with these people.
That part is simple. The bullying was exposed and the bullies faced consequences--which they hated and blamed the MC for "ruining" their lives. Their teacher was also held accountable as she enabled their cruelty. then on Halloween years later, they chased her into the woods to get their revenge
The MC's bullying was based on my own school experience. The teacher was a cruel cow who enabled the bullying, even in class, did nothing to correct the kids' behavior, and was fired for it.
Well there ya go, I say go forth and write it!
Examples of the Punishments: The greedy glutton eats fairy fruit that wastes him away. The spoiled brat puts on red shoes that forces her to dance to death. The obnoxious conspiracy theorist, in his chicken costume, gets swallowed by a giant fox. The idiotic bigot gets turned into a donkey.
