You can say a LOT about the limitations placed on women back when floor length skirts were required, but our ancestors could carry entire live chickens in their pockets while I'm clinging to a seven year old phone because I can keep it in my pocket.

That’s why I bought hiking pants with 6 big pockets. The other solution is if I’m out with my brother, I make him carry everything in his pockets

The answer is just make women’s pockets giant because carrying a bag is a thing everyone does and clothes shouldn’t be a thing that’s limited by gender

Front AND back, depending on the pants. If I don't have my bag, I often have to carry everything. Good for bag sales ig :/

The only reason I can think of why those exist is to sell more purses I genuinely refuse to believe there *isn't* some sort of conspiracy between women's clothing manufacturers and bag/purse companies

It could also be a sexualization thing. If you have something in your pockets it may alter how your figure is perceived. If you can't have anything in your pocket, then your figure is fully visible. Can't think of a non-ick inducing reason for the industry to do it though, we're in agreement there.
