Well, itβsβ¦ err.. a chocolate cake from Germany. Lol. Except it has a cherry layer in it. (A vital piece of data which I was not given the first time I ordered it and which, depending on how dark the chocolate & cherry layers are, may not be visually apparent to the unsuspecting degustator)

It's a much lighter-colored cake than Black Forest, though, at least the way my mom made it in the 60s-70s. And doesn't have the whipped cream.

Hmm, tha sounds pretty delightful, but yes-- if you aren't expecting the added cherry layeer, it might be a little weird π
