This Red-winged Blackbird is molting his head feathers which has resulted in a distinctive look with a bold mini mohawk.

As a wildlife rehabbed and veterinary technician I read this more as a mange case which is an overwhelmed immune response. Healable but he's hurting. πππ½

This Northern Cardinal has been visiting our neighborhood regularly. We call him "Mad Max" because he looks like a minor character in one of those movies.
