I had a wren come wrestle with a loose thread on a deck chair. I'm like, good luck, tiny bird. Well, damn if s/he didn't get out that thread and loosen a couple others...determination of the small that conquers all.

I've been feeding doves in my front garden strip for 20 years. I'm positive I've helped many generations survive well. The only bummer is that the fledglings are hard to recognize, they're small but not so obviously juvenile as other species. I wouldn't mind some baby pictures.
