This trip to New York has been so much fun. It’s also fascinating to catch up with other artist friends, talking about teaching. It’s making me want to think about teaching a longer form workshop, a few days long. It would be so nice for students to not be rushed.

As one of those Bklyn students (Pgh says hey), having more time would be brilliant! Though would I personally try to cram more in and end up as rushed? Obvs yes. But being able to practice, to just do until it works for you, is everything. Thank you so much for coming to teach, it was wonderful 🩶

(mostly what is ideal for students, I think, is time to mess up? Without then feeling well now you've lost out, because you have time to try it again. And maybe a few more times. Takes so much pressure off)

Yeah! When I first started teaching it, I had more problems with the students finishing early, and running out of things to do. The longer I teach it, the slower the students go - which is perfect. And thank you so much for taking the class with me!!
