It’s not incredulous because it’s actually indicative of you view politics. If your saying she failed to get votes, fine. But she literally can’t fail at running to the right of Trump while putting forth policies that are too the left of him

...yes she can, by doing exactly that. she tacked right, with immigration and the "country over party" stuff, and not only gained zero new votes, she may have lost existing votes, thats what id call a failure

Tacked right and running to the right of Trump are not the same thing, how do you not understand this point. If you want to say she failed by going to moderate, that’s fine. I don’t think I agree but whatever. My point is, no one actually knows the “big lesson”. We just hope things are true

If she didn’t propose a plan that would deport more than 20 million people, she didn’t try to run the right of Trump. I don’t know, my best guess is how we consume media changed a lot from 2020-2024. Seeing the CEO of Facebook, Google and Twitter at the inauguration was very eye opening.

I have no idea, I am not going to pretend to understand swing voters and what matters to them. Everyone hates the only economical policy he talked about during the campaign, so maybe people weren’t that well informed?

i have some idea. i think Harris saying "i wouldnt do anything different" from a historically unpopular president was a mistake. i think campaigning with the Cheney's was a mistake. i think insisting that the economy was good despite all evidence was a mistake
