I don't think most Rs want more kids in general, just more of their particular faction and fewer of the other kinds a big drop in US population doesn't scare them

If this were true , the charts would seem to indicate that R's are increasingly more helpful husbands than D's. I'm more of the opinion that the effect stated is largely spurious.
