Shoutout to the Fever's Sophie Cunningham. The refs didn't protect Caitlin Clark from cheap shots so Cunningham issued payback near the end of tonight's game and 3 ejections followed. The WNBA commissioner is terrible. How do you allow the abuse of your golden goose for the second year in a row?
She ain't the only one getting abused. Some of the hair pulling the last few weeks has been ridiculous. We don't need to just protect Caitlin. All players matter to the league's success. Bad officiating all around is bad for viewership.
For sure. But Clark is on the receiving end of more than her share of cheap shots. The league is doing a horrible job of protecting the physical safety of its players. More ejections and fines could put an end to it.
