The it's not just "MAGA" mentality. Think about all the youth sports teams where parents abuse & attack other players, their families, coaches and ref's because of what they perceive to be a bad play or call all out brawls in the stands carried out to the parking lot. it's a blinding lust for blood.
Exactly. I referee youth hockey. I have had parents wait for me after games. All bc I made the right call they disagree with. I took my time getting out of the locker room. Like an hour. They still waited. I have had partners escort me to my car too. It is insane.

Sadly, yes. It really hasn't changed much. My Dad in the early 90's was doing a game & the parents were throwing rulebooks & glasses on the ice at him and his partner. They skated off the ice & left. By the time the parents realized what happened they were chasing them as they were driving away.
