I recall one of the better mayors of Chicago was Washington. I don't remember a lot about his policies, didn't live there anymore, but I recall the city was pretty stable, much more inclusive, peaceful. But it's been years, and I might be wrong. Just my impression. We should look at what works?

Yes. The DSA guy now is a one termer. If their guy wins NYC- which he won’t- it will be same. They can’t govern. Period. Can’t win can’t strategize can’t govern. We had a repub run as a dem too. But we don’t have RCV.

Exactly. DSA-type folks pushing badly-written bills in our CA legislature fall back on those who vote against them as "corporate shills". It's really because the bill sucks. I can't believe how poorly thought out some "progressive" stuff is. GOP do it, too; it's pitiful progs are no better!

They are progressive. That’s a misnomer. They are regressive. Look what they did to Joe. Kamala. They didn’t vote for her, stole her entire platform and act like they invented fire. Omg. They COULDNT LET A BLACK WOMAN LEAD HER OWN PLATFORM.

That's why, years ago w DSoc, DSA's precursor, I walked. It was chiefly the elite white disdain for communities of color that, over the years, has expanded. Utterly disgusting.

Actually most of the leadership was quite well to do. I had a lot of trouble with 'starving students' in hand-tooled shoes. They were 'showing solidarity' with working people they sneered at behind their back. They talk the talk (however superficial) but never walked the walk. EVER.

Yes. Smdh. I personally love all the BLM and Ukraine in their bios and they vote directly against both every time. Huh.

Even in 'radical' San Francisco they recalled the lefty DA as I remember. He was an absolute nightmare and got tossed. Extreme ideas have REAL LIFE consequences. They often don't serve the people, only the ideologues. Imagine that.
