I think Trump not only doesn't get it but actually can't see anything wrong with Russian European domination. He's gone trilateral: Russia dominates EU, China all of Asia, and Trump all of N/S America. Africa is to be carved up I'd assume.

Why should it be assumed that Russia dominates Europe? The EU has a far greater population, larger economy and a wee bit more global power than the Russian's have, excluding what lurks in the Nice Mr Putin's deranged imagination. You can then add the non EU countries, the UK, Norway etc

Not quite certain who you mean by the 'big three' I assume the USA, China, and Russia. However Europe should be able to hold their own against Russia politically, economically and militarily (even outside of NATO). However the loose cannon in the White House is a very loose cannon and has power.
