2/ ... anti LGBTQ person is not what I signed up for. It goes against the very principles as to my politics. I have asked Nadia Whittome to join me and we will set up a new Alliance that is inclusive of all. We will continue with those same left wing ideals, simply disassociate ourselves...

3/ from anti trans individuals. We believe that if you ignore one minority, you cannot be trusted to protect any. We hope you will follow us as we move forward with OurParty*. I would have donated, fought for and campaigned for that. Instead @zarahsultana.bsky.social chose power and greed.

I'm missing context here - I thought Corbyn had always taken a strongly pro inclusion stance. What have I missed?

Recently, Corbyn has found it politically expedient to drop his stance on inclusivity. I'm not even a bit surprised. I remember his "support" for remaining in the EU while winking at white racists, then being the first politician to call for an immediate withdrawal minutes after the vote came in.

Thanks for the context update. Our political system needs radical reform - otherwise we'll be having the same, tired arguments forever.

It does, but with the exception of Scottish Greens and possibly Green Party E&W, ALL the main UK parties are some flavour of socially and/or economically conservative and intent on excluding one or more minoritised communities. And, all are shifting further right. How on Earth can it be reformed? 😟

We need to all start voting Green, assuming Zack wins the leadership, with our whole chest.

I don't presume to have all the answers. There has been a significant failure on the left to hold a narrative of how we build a good society for all. In particular there's been a failure to challenge neoliberalism. On the right we have had consistent messaging on economics for nearly fifty years >

Yeah he did. Right up until he declared this new party. At that point he chose between including ONLY socially conservative Muslims (lord knows they aren't the only kind of Muslims), because his mate is an MP, or including LGBTQ folks.

Hussain being transphobic Corbyn on stage at a Your Party branded talk, with transphobic Hussain given equal billing.

Holding a meeting and including Adnan in an alliance who just the day before advocated for "third spaces" for trans people and reposting anti trans bigots. That ain't inclusion.
