Fabricating game carts is insanely expensive to produce compared mediums today, so game pricing really isn't comparable. Sources I can find cite that Nintendo charged between $15-$25 per cart, which is like $33-$55. Later games that used more space or special hardware were even more expensive.

It's actually a perfectly fair comparison and you explained exactly why games aren't $155 today.

I get the sentiment here, but the cost of manufacturing per unit dropped so dramatically starting with the PS1 that price comparisons from today to NES/SNES/etc just don't make any sense.
