I want to believe this, but then I see the response to Jamie Raskin joining in the opposition to further transfers of offensive weapons to Israel and wonder if there is any sort of condition that pro-Israel groups will accept on military aid.

The ONLY WEAPONS they should be getting is the ammunition for the DOME to protect the CIVILIANS from rockets & drones NOTHING MORE & ZERO SUBSIDIES🚫💰 Why should they have free Healthcare,College & childcare too⁉️ Meanwhile back in AMERICA.... We get NOTHING the richest country ZERO⁉️ #NOKINGS EVER
I'm not sure pro-Israel groups will survive the decade. Israel went into 2020 with the mainstream reputation as an essentially moral nation struggling to maintain order in a chaotic region. It's well on course to be the next apartheid South Africa even in then mainstream.
hard to say where we'll be in 28. Israel supporters are bad at compromise, since compromising means they'd have to confront the idea they're embracing genocide.
still, there's been real movement in the last couple of months. (as pritzker's statement about restricting weapons suggests.)
I have to push back a little on the acceptance of the Jewish people willing to allow another HOLOCAUST happening caused by NETANYAHU'S fear of being thrown in PRISON⁉️ THIS ISN'T WHAT THEY WANT & they're protesting in the streets every chance they get They want to STOP HIM but CAN'T⁉️ #justicematters
True. And I guess we do have to differentiate between opposition from pro-Israel groups and real electoral blowback, as the presence of the former no longer assures that you will be faced with the latter.
Pandering to pro Israel groups cost Harris the election and Israel is losing political capital by the day. No, the Israel lobby won’t accept anything less then getting their way but they are becoming a liability
that's not what cost her the election. I really don't think it helps progressives to claim it is either.
