This is an incorrect view of transgender (intersex or more accurately, a difference in sexual development (DSD)). The genetic sex is not the only determinant of sex, there is a significant diversity of DSD between the binary sexes. The brain can be different from genetic sex. Look up the research

Transgender is defined by the words "trans" and "gender". Not "trans" and "sex". Most people are either male or female. People who are transgender are not typically people with a DSD. And people with a DSD are not typically trans.

Gender is influenced in part by biology, not just learned. Recent research shows mosaicism in the brain, where individuals have both male & female sex markers. It’s not as simple as you & others wish it to be. While not a majority, it’s real & needs to be respected. Again do more research.

Yes gender is a social construct based on erroneous views of biological sex. As for men staying in their spaces, I agree. They need to stay out of infringing on bodily autonomy period.

I may just be an old dyke but it seems to me just common sense that we should respect the boundaries of all people unless invited in. Never thought it had anything to do with sex or gender.

I actually know a bit about transgenderism. My older brother transitioned in his 50s after a long military career.

Not in my brothers case but I'd never rule out the possibility. I have known 2 intersex people in the past, lots of trannies & gays because they are my commumnity

I, too, have known many gays and some trannies - mostly drag queens, if they count. I will continue to advocate that men stay out of women's spaces and sports. The experiences are not mutually exclusive.

Interesting...IMHO a trannie lives as a woman, often assisted by HRT and/or surgery of various kinds. Most of the drag queens I knew lived part of their lives as men (often very feminine) and just seem to love the art of performance. Having a genetic male compete w/females seems wrong.

Men have certainly coopted a number of identities, haven't they? Dressing as women for sexual thrill, dressing as women for performance, dressing as women due to gender dysphoria, and dressing as women when it suits them to enter women's spaces. And some men probably do all of the above.

It's not just the men. Some gay women do it too if it suits them.
