My grandfather was a radio operator for an ammo carrying Liberty vessel off of the coast during D-Day. He was ashore a couple of days after and said there were piles of guns that were taller than a man from the fallen on both sides. Tyranny must be opposed, even though the cost can be high.

One June I was teaching at our partner school in Rouen, FR. The students were having a picnic on the lawn of the school. It was in remembrance of D Day. there are buildings on campus with visible bullet holes so they see war damage every day. They asked how our students celebrate D Day? Huh

my uncle in law was medic at normandy. said they stacked bodies 6 high. he had phd and taught med students. his brother "father of microelectronics", had patents, designing triggers systems for nucs. not allowed to leave US for 5 years after retired. I saw state dept letter.
