I'm running on no sleep right now, and I am aware that this isn't an all-at-once transaction, but like... OpenAI doesn't make money. I assume Oracle only takes IOUs for so long. So.......

Oracle's business is pretty flat without this. The risk (read: stupidity) of this deal is why Oracle are doing this deal, not anyone else. Desperation, helps them pump their own share price.

Ah I see. So you think OpenAI partnered with Oracle (of all companies) because other big datacenter hosts didn't want to sign up for that kind of gigantic financial commitment with a low chance of payout?
