I work in banking. I had 4 members come in last week to close their accounts because they’re going back to Mexico, one couple is heading back to Honduras. They were all employed. 2 own their home. They had money held in their savings account. They worked fucking hard.
This was the intent. Instead of following the process of deporting to their home country, they are being threatened with life in prison in another country. So of course they would choose to self deport. Not much of a "choice".
