It all comes back to the real colonizer American ethos: you can keep whatever you can both steal and defend. White families hold 10x the wealth of black families. That money was made from stolen capital (land) and slave labor, then handed down through generations that denied access to blacks.

"But I worked hard for what I earned!" While that may be true, the same opportunities were systematically denied to blacks. In some cases, when blacks were able to accumulate wealth and power, they were ransacked by racist thugs.
