I just had the most entertaining drunk 60-year-old man as a rider. I swear to God he sounded like a Martin Short character—a little Ed Grimley, a little Jiminy Glick, and then just plain old Martin Short. It was wonderful.

Was having dinner near Venice Beach for my daughter’s graduation from UCLA about a dozen years ago. Sitting outside near doorway and limo pulls up, see MS get out and walk right at me, waving and flashing that silly grin. Saw other limo rider at last second as they walked in, Tom Hanks.
