There is a more comprehensive multi-national DST in the works. It was a logical interim step.

True enough, but I do believe PMMC knows how to play the long game to maximum effect for our benefit. The Order of Canada in 2014 for his leadership in the development of financial policy in Canada and around the world...an economics doctorate & honourary doctorate of law... Eminently qualified. :)
