All big cities need to regulate Airbnb for all the reasons you just said. Especially cities where tourism is high. Toronto did it and it was needed. People need places to live more than people need cheap vacation rentals.

It's a way for people to make their home investments earn them income. Why not convert all the hotels to housing then?? Heck, outlaw RTO and convert the office buildings into housing. But Mamdani isn't selling any of those ideas? I wonder how much the hotels have donated to him ... money we'll spent
