As a Canadian who never had children I'm confused. Is this a US thing? Teachers have to use their own money to buy work supplies?!

Yes, if need items to make our rooms inviting and welcoming, we purchase those items ourselves. Learning games and resources are also purchased with our money unless we are lucky enough to have a teacher leave them or get them donated. This is my calm down center I created😍

First of great job! Second of all, I always knew teachers were amazing but thank you for educating ME on just how amazing you all are. I could never imagine going to work and being asked to supply my own chair/desk/computer so I never would have guessed how above and beyond you all have to go. ❤️
