I remember growing up in the 90s early 2000s thinking "This is a new age, the age of information--The end of ignorant conspiracies being actually believed as truth, the end of religious propaganda having so much influence, the end of lies having power, now liars are merely entertaining stooges."

So now we're in the disinformation age: The free exchange of information was like steroids to misinformation peddlers. Now almost everyone believes easily disprovable bullshit and has less access to factual information than ever before. We're returning to a time when knowledge is only for the rich
