I don't think so, I should have said no need to play it further as I had about 2 hours in when I decided to go to the let's play. as I said, it didn't grab me, but I realized the story was good enough that I wanted to finish it out.

Understandable to defend your preference but pretty clear it didn't have the same impact on you as those who played it first. Personal choices of levels and thoughts are a crucial part of the experience in much the same way that something is lost when a book is made into a movie.
