you’ve been arguing today with a very odd group… Unable to see the flaws and failings of a party and insistent on blaming the media. To be sure many of the media are failing us- I would not suggest you are in that group. But dems nationally are not doing enough- and many of us feel that way.

We’re not an odd group. We just see what the media is doing and calling it out. You either want to help Dems defeat this admin or you want to help keep Trump & Vance. Everybody has a moral responsibility to protect themselves from the current admin. Everything else is secondary.

At this point, it’s not really about “the Dems.” My hopes are not rooted in any future election or Congress. It’s rooted in people power. Once we collectively realize that with the right organizing & leadership within those efforts, we will rise up in unison. Before that, we have to unify. IMO

I agree with you Reading the replies to my first statement makes me wonder how that will happen. People seem to want to argue This entire thread was eye opening to me- it’s not the experience I usually have here. It’s unpleasant

People have been calling out Ali and I don’t think he’s our problem. Much of the media stinks because they clearly are in the tank for trump and his policies which sucks. But to pretend Dems are doing enough to engage and lead folks is nuts. Just yelling at media won’t win elections either

I respect your opinion, but this is the first time I have seen his viewers respond like this. Actually,I had never called him out until yesterday. People are very concerned that if we don’t unite, we will lose the fight AGAIN.

Take a look at how people on this thread are responding to me. I literally posted that people want to see Dems do more- step up and lead. It’s led to the most insane and unnecessary responses. So yeah we need to unify/ some folks need to chill- having an opinion shouldn’t get you attacked

Maybe because it’s not about Dems doing more. It’s about everybody that is against the current administration’s agenda joining together to defeat the administration.

Would be great. that’s not what’s happening. Dems are attacking other Dems for asking the party to adapt and change. Just look at this thread as an example. Asking Jaime to do more brought me dozens of truly unnecessary posts about (me) and I’m a freaking Dem who works to elect dems!!

Ok, but adapt & change to what? Dems are not perfect, but they are the party that works for everyone. Unlike GOP they have a big tent with many different people to please. Everybody is not going to be happy. Asking Jaime to do more while he continues to use his new platform for the Dems is absurd.

This fight is really on the voters using their voices. I’m sure we all could do more. But EVERYBODY finding ways to help is essential to the goal. When people who have large platforms consistently use them to point out every Dem flaw, that’s a problem for several reasons: (1) It doesn’t encourage

low propensity voters to get out and vote, (2) It drains the energy of those that are putting in the work, (3) It causes chaos and division in the party, and (4) It gives the GOP material to use against us in the media. Our ancestors stayed the course for us, and we owe future generations the same.

Adapt and change to a new media environment. To a new way of communicating with voters. To the new need for coordinated messaging that’s clear, strong and the most important- sustained. The reason maga is so successful with their marketing is because it is relentless. Dems don’t have that.

No, they’re successful because they stick together. We out number them, but they have cohesiveness. You see very little public criticism among them. Dems have influencers on all social media sites. The GOP didn’t overturn abortion rights in an election cycle. They worked at it for 50 yrs.
