With a Labor like this, who needs a coalition?
Didn't Howard try and introduce fees? Or was it phoney rabbit?
To be fair, it must cost taxpayers a lot, considering the man-hours it takes to actively delay all those FOI applications.
It's Trump's "business model": Charge (more) for everything and cut spending (including debts commitments, and promises).
I'm Australian and talking about the Australian government
LOL. So which is copying the other? lol
Well, if it were a democrat that was under suspicion, I'm sure the fees would be waived but since it's Old Donald under scrutiny, they 'll make it as difficult as possible.

"foreign actors... criminal gangs" making FOI requests? wtf. www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...
Ah yes, administration fees are the cutting edge for thwarting foreign actors and criminal gangs!
Wouldn't a rating system work better from the requester? Yes, Journalist request more, but they are validated, then weed out the randoms?
If it’s all information that legally should be transparent and open to the public…well suck it up Government.
Transparency is dead. They will start rewriting history (aka1984) soon. Orwell was about 70 years off the date.
