Love digital but film has a place also especially for archives. As a historian and preservationist, digital worries me about posterity. Will this era be known as a 'dark age' because of the lack of preserved art and writings?

As someone who started out doing film as a kid, then switched to digital in the late 90βs I often think about this aspect. So many found glass negatives & even slide & film negatives have been βfoundβ or archived that give us a rich history. But Iβm not sure that can happen very well with digital.
Currently we do not have a truly good way of preserving digit media. And I wished I had better answers to this problem.
