I'm not against vaccines and not for Trump all I asked was he could have gotten the vaccine in 2021. From my understanding once you get a vaccine you no longer can get the disease. The body is supposed to learn the genetic code of the virus to create the white blood cells to fight off the infection.

COVID-19 mutates each year, so you have to get a vaccine each like you do with the flu shots

The genetic code changes with every new mutation of Covid. That’s why they come up with a new vaccine every year.

Even with the vaccine you can still get Covid. It just minimizes the severity. Just like a flu or shingles vaccine.

I was aware of the flu shot but no one has said anything about getting a yearly covid shot where I live. My covid shots were delayed because Dewine is an idiot and it makes sense why we weren't told that you need yearly shots for covid.

It is a booster. When you are older, sometimes you need a booster. Your immune system doesn't work as well anymore, in general.

Viruses like the flu and Covid mutate and require updated vaccines yearly.

Covid shots available Feb 2021 for teachers in my community. I got 2nd shot March 2021. Booster shot Dec 2, 2021 before first extended family Christmas since 2019. Covid booster mid July 2022 before I went back to teach, booster Dec 2022 before holiday. Then yearly shot Oct 2023 and Sept 2024.
