I was wondering if the guy with the broom was headed for a sidewalk.

They seem thrilled to be doing landscaping maintenance in full camo. Not a leaf blower in sight. This should bring about the much-needed mutiny. ICE has rounded up all the talented yard maintenance business owners who happen to be immigrants.

I'm glad we are spending all that money to have members of the National Guard pick up trash in the park. The cost of this bullshit could been used to just fucking house every homeless person in DC for the rest of the year, but go on about how our military are acting as fucking janitors.

Do you think the homeless should join the National Guard? That’s an interesting solution.

If they want to serve and are otherwise qualified, sure. But I think that housing should be seen as a basic right. We have enough to house everyone, we choose to not do it so that some people can make more money.

A call for a universal subsidy on housing is another interesting solution. Why not a universal basic income?
