I stop frequently. It’s a treasure. In fact I signed up to do a full day trip there (and other places related to fire) in Oct through MPS community ed. Munger Bike Trail starts a block north of museum.

A book that isn’t easy to read (even in English).

A yellow book with black font and art showing people fleeing a fire towards a river. The title is Hinckley Fire. It also provides a Swedish language name for it, which is “eld-cyklonen”.

It's such a horrific tale with so many substories. The 1918 Cloquet Fire is also interesting, as it killed even more people yet got far less attention, shrouded in secrecy at the time because of WWI.

That Curt Brown book, Minnesota 1918, tells some of that story. I need to visit the Moose Lake Depot/museum.
