Across the country, elected officials have faced arrest, funding cuts and other penalties for opposing Trump policies since his return to the White House. Portland’s leaders are still weighing how best to respond: vocally fight back or try to stay off of Trump’s radar with a more quiet resistance.
Either fight or step aside for those who will. Pretty simple if we want to continue our way of life here.
A do you want to be happy or do you want to be right type situation
Trying to avoid a bully is a sign of capitulation. Either stand up or get out of the way. We are witnessing the destruction of the Administrative state. Fighting extremism with civil debate is a losing proposition.
Fortunately if the politicians won't, the people will.
