He will replace Newhook after Newhook contract done.. Hughes met with Filip 3 times this summer...he's definitely still in Habs future plans.

Main issue = injury in OHL Playoffs and then 2 separate injuries in Laval. Allan , don't forget = when Filip was injured in Playoffs against London = Filip was the LEADING SCORER in the PLAYOFFS. As in the entire CHL . AND , nobody got more points in the Playoffs against London than Filip .

Yeah for sure. I remember seeing him in his first rookie camp with Habs thinking he looks better than Slaf at that time. What an incredible draft!!

Incredible draft indeed. Perhaps the finest in Habs history. Anderson, Gally and Newhook all have 2 more seasons... My thinking is Filip's window opens then , if he can play injury free and works his ass off.

Yes , with alot of hard work and no more injuries he'll get a chance. But he needs a strong season in Laval for sure. The skill is obviously there. Our prospects are looking awesome. Many very legit players. Hage, Reinbacher, Fowler and Zharovsky especially. Habs future looking fantastic.

Hey, I'm a Habs fan. We shouldn't tear our guys down. I want Dach to run with the 2C this year. I want Laine to kill it and score 30 goals. I don't think it will happen, but prove me wrong. I'm wrong a lot.

I am confident Laine will get 30 - 40 playing with Demidov and on the PP . I still think a 2C is added and Dach plays on 3rd with Newhook and Bolduc. If no 2C added , I think Dach will get an opportunity. I hope no matter where he plays, he's able to play hard ...
