There are all sorts of various Indian diasporas and Indians sub diasporas and it’s so fascinating. But then there are the ignoramuses who try to step on the identities which minorities have and force such minorities into a lazy-minded box that disrespects family history.
Most of the schmucks attacking Mamdani for his multi-faceted identity as an Indo-Ugandan American are the very same schmucks who see “brown” Americans as being lesser Americans or non-Americans just because a person is “brown”. They aren’t honest arbiters of identity & Mamdani’s self-identification.
