What is wrong with you people? I'm asking a very respected authority of religious studies if he believes the American Jewish Committee and B'nai Brith have not been committed to a two-state solution over the last three decades. Why is that so hard to understand? Can you answer Brian?

If you had just asked about those two groups you would not have got this response. You asked about "American Jews". Please tell me you understand the difference and why people might see this as a shift in framing.

Look -- I don't need to defend myself for a legitimate question to a scholar of religious studies and Jewish thinker. Quite honestly, I think you're making assumptions about who I am and what I'm interested in understanding. And that can be a very dangerous thing indeed. Enough said. ✌️
