Kinzinger, famous for standing up… er what’s that, he cut and run as soon as it got a bit bumpy? Still would like someone to ask one of these “fine” Republicans why they were OK with the neo-Confederate takeover in the 80s and 90s?

His area was redistricted and put him in with a republican who was an incumbent. He didn't fight for the seat because he agreed to be on the J6 committee. I genuinely don't get throwing petty rocks at Kinzinger. He & Liz were the only ones to fully stand up to the party in that way & not cower.

Wikipedia says his voters made up the majority of the new constituency and LaHood is a non-entity so I think I retain my poor opinion of his fortitude.

Fair enough. Maybe I just identify with the trouble he went through to give them a huge EFF YOU on the way out. My leaders are horrific nightmares. The pastures everywhere else usually seem a lot greener to me.

Not great, I'll give you that. But I raise you Huckabee, the Younger & one Tom Cotton.
